(0:00)Purpose Beyond Spectacle

Why do you feel stuck? Because I You feel like I'm You're not working in purpose. Like you haven't figured it out yet. You haven't figured out what the call of God is. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I don't give people that much credit. You don't give people that much credit. Let me tell you what it is. Okay. They compare themselves with other people. And they say I should be here, but I'm stuck here. Oh, if I found my purpose, I will be there. Yeah. Unfiltered. What up, y'all? Welcome to PF Unfiltered. Yeah, I'm good. How have you been? So have you. They confused, man. I I could perceive the confusion. Talking about confusion, Rosen. Yeah. So something has been confusing me, you know, just they're too confused. Just, you know, like no, sorry. Why are the two of you confused? That's why we came to you. That's why we are here. No, I think your confusion is PhD psychiatry. That's why we are here. Right. So on on the matter of So I'm in a room with two confused people. Am I safe? You are safe. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Bring it. Bring it. Let me help. Yes sir. So

(1:44)What Is Purpose, Really?

purpose. This is a topic that or a word that we kind of throw around a lot in terms of I believe uh either finding purpose, living our purpose or defining or just just like finding what it is for an individual and something I've been struggling with and I think some of our audience might be able to relate is is my purpose singular to maybe one expression, one time, one season of life or is it something that I get to experience in different ways, right, over over a lifetime, right? So that's that's just part of like the initial like part of my confusion, right? And I hope you be able to shed some light on that today. Okay. What was your own confusion? I just think maybe I'm overthinking what my purpose is and I just feel like I could do a lot and I don't know. So I'm just I don't know what God wants me to do. I don't Okay. So I'm just a little confused. Okay. I can tell you he wants you to breathe. So breathe. I I I think I think and from personal experience I think Christians we we like to just fixate on certain words. Yeah. Right. And ultimately what drives it is the idea that everybody has um what's the word I'm looking for? is spectacular. Yeah. Right. We're constantly Yes. We're constantly looking for the spectacular. Right. Instead of looking for the supernatural, right? What's the difference? The spectacular is loud. It is thunder. It is lightning. It is smoke. Mhm. Right. The supernatural is divine. And divine is not always loud. It's not always smoke. It's not always thunder. It's not always lightning. But it can be. It can be, right? But everybody wants the spectacular. Mhm. Right. A seed, right? Um pushing through the earth is a miracle. Right. A baby born in good health and sound mind is a miracle. Right. The amount of opposition to that thing happening that it happens is a miracle. Right. Mhm. All of us sitting here in Dallas, Texas, it's a miracle. Right. But then of course you've got water turning into wine. You've got a Red Sea parting that is spectacular, right? So you have the spectacular. You have the Red Sea parting, right? You have but you also have the you didn't get fired from your job even though you showed up late more times than you should have. Right? But we don't recognize the not getting fired even though you shown up late more than you should have as a miracle because it's not spectacular. But you might actually almost never know that God saved you from losing your job. Right? Because you didn't lose your job, right? The accidents that God saves you from that you never you didn't even know happened. Right. Do you consider those miracles? You don't because you didn't even know they happened, but they were miracles.

(4:58)Miracles in the Ordinary

I I I shared on the podcast one time when I was going home and because somebody took a a long drag on a cigarette, right? I was able to see that they were robbers, right? Yeah. That was a miracle, right? Mhm. That a drag on a cigarette lit up a bus so brightly enough for me to see what they were doing, right? But on a scale of spectacular, where does that fall? The same thing with purpose. What if your purpose is to just be a good mother? Would you consider that purpose? M to be a good daughter. Would you consider that purpose? Right. To let your sunship being a son, right? Would you consider that your purpose? God sent you to this earth, right? And there's a reason why he sent you to this earth. And that reason plays out in every second of your life, right? But we don't recognize that as purpose when looking for the spectacular reason for our being here. Yeah. Right. And the truth of the matter is this. Let me give you one example. Um being a a a popular gospel artist, right? So God gives you a good voice, right? Gives you, you know, rhythm. Mhm. Right. and you want God to tell you, are you supposed to be a Grammy award-winning or Dove award-winning singer? What if your purpose in this life is just, you know, one day you are driving, you're singing in the car, somebody driving past you, wonders about the song, hears the song, starts thinking about the song, and then somehow give their life to Christ. Why are we so caught up in everything being spectacular for it to be divine? M there is so much supernatural in the ordinary. So we latch on to this idea of purpose, right? Because we're looking for spectacular relevance, right? Right. My presence in my family brings stability to the family. Mhm. Right. Why is that not my purpose? I think everybody wants to have an impact. They want to feel like there's like a huge impact thousands of people specs of people. And and you know what drives that? The pride of life. That desire of every high school kid to play in the NBA. Yep. How many people play in the NBA? Factions, huh? 450 people. How many kids go through high school every year? Millions, man. Millions. How many kids play on their high school basketball team and do not make it to their college basketball team? A lot. How many of people that play college basketball make it to the NBA? 450. How many basketball teams are there? The point I'm trying to make is that not everybody is going to play in the NBA or the NFL. Doesn't mean you were not relevant. Doesn't mean God did not send you here for a reason. I pastor a church of a couple of thousand people right now. Right. I preach not everybody is going to pastor a church. It's just how many churches everybody who pastors a church wants to pastor a church of thousands. Yeah. Right. But you know what? There was a time I was saying to my I was saying to God, what is my purpose here? He said the people that are in front of you, have you blessed them? Bless them. Because see, I was looking for something more spectacular than the mundiness of preparing a sermon every weekend. It had gotten mundane. It has gotten ordinary. Yeah. I was looking for more. Is this is this all my life is just coming and talking to the same people? Yes. That's all your life is. And that's great. Right. Right. You know, did I just come to this world to have children and die? Be fruitful. Multiply. You just multiplied and you were just fruitful. M I'm trying to say that we we we we don't identify the truth that a lot of this purpose conversation is driven by vanity. Yeah, that's it. And self anandrandisement. Yeah. Right. The the person you you helped, the guy you saw on the street and you gave $5, God put you there to help that person get food. Why is that not important? Why does it have to be something big? Not all of us will do something big. I'm beginning to realize that as I've gotten older, there are some things that I thought, oh, maybe this is why God made me ain't going to happen. It ain't going to happen. So, you better live a life that is worthy of Christ. That is your purpose to be conformed to the image of Christ and to reflect Christ in your everyday life. The way that will play out is up to God. Worrying yourself about it makes you postpone living your life. Mhm. Right. So you like, okay, do you know what? I'm not going to manifest Christ to the janitor because I'm waiting until the day I stand on a stage in front of 500 people. I'm not going to manifest Christ, right, to the one customer I have because I'm waiting until the day when you know what I'm in every store in Dallas, right? We keep postponing what we should do today because of this spectacular tomorrow, right? We live in a very, you know, we say to people sometimes that the life you're living now, right, used to be your prayer point and it's somebody's miracle, right? But are we looking at our lives like a miracle? Are we daily thanking God that wow, I wake up in the morning, I get in a Tesla, a crap car, but I get in a Tesla. Right. Are we grateful? Right. Just mercy. Yeah. But no, we're not. We're still thinking. Oh my god. Oh my god. One day I will drive a Porsche. Yes. Amen. That was just some some inside shade. Inside shade. But but you guys you get my point. So So when I when I first got saved, there was this a sermon had just gone out. Very popular man of God. He's passed on now about purpose. Right. And it was a big deal. Everybody was talking about what's your purpose? What's your purpose? And I and I went away to camp then some remote place to go and pray asking God for my purpose. Yeah. Not a word. Not a word as to my purpose. I was praying with my dad and some members of his church and somebody had said to my dad, one of them had said, "Oh, one of your sons is going to preach the gospel." Mhm. Right. And my dad says, "Is this one?" And I looked at I was looking for my other brother, but I was the only person there, you know, not the only one. But but God never said to me, "The first time I had a vision or a dream of preaching to thousands of people was last year." Wow. Yeah. I'm I kid you not. Last year. Last year. The first time I had a dream that I would preach 2000s was last year. 20 years late 20 20 almost 20 something years after right all God said to me at different points in time was how to comport myself in every situation I was in one time God said if you use the office of a deacon well you will obtain a good report I was complaining about my work right he didn't say oh if you do deacon well you will become senior pastor he said if you use the office of a deacon well you'll obtain a good report another time I was complaining about my job he says it It's good for a man to bear the yoke in his youth. Proof, right? Mhm. One time I went to him, there was one babe I was chasing. He said, "If you want her, you can have her. If you don't want her, that's your business." I'm just trying to say that at no point in time did God say, "You are going to marry a woman of God." I was looking for babe based off of my intellectual capacity. Mhm. And God said to me, if you marry this one, if you chase her, well, you'll marry her. If you want her, you can have her. When I met my wife, right, I had no idea, no idea for the first time many years that I knew her that I would marry her. I was not interested in her in any way other than we served together. I didn't have this dream that oh, I'll be preaching and she'll be by my side. My wife when we met was doing for the fellowship. Her role was in she was a child of publications. Mhm. Right. Publishing a newsletter for the fellowship. Right. She was is in her second or third year of pharmacy school. Right.

(14:20)Purpose Unveiled Along the Way

Both of us had no idea we were going to get married. Right. By this time I knew, okay, I was going to do ministry. I didn't know where I was going to do ministry. I thought I would do ministry abroad. Different things were happening. What I didn't realize was that her pharmacy um ability, her pharmacy degree would be our source of income. Wow. For a couple of decades. God never told me. But even more important than the pharmacy, she could play the drums. Every church I pastored, AK played the drums and led worship. When we met, she was not good enough to be in the choir. I I kid you not. She did publications. As a pastor, I never had a publications department. God unveils things as you go. Sometimes sometimes he will tell you. Mhm. Sometimes he won't. Right. If anybody had told me that I would be where I am today doing a podcast, you know how this podcast started? It was not by revelation. It was by annoyance. Wow. I'm just saying just Yeah. When we started this podcast, the goal was not to go viral. It was just to answer questions, right? And and reach people. Mhm. Right. That goal, honestly speaking, I didn't wake up and the Lord said your hope was reach. It was just Tundday kept me and Tund will sit down and we will talk for hours and he will ask me a ton of questions and I'll be like, "Oh boy, you are disturbing my life." be like my PF there a lot of questions you know and that's how and then uh um the top Mr. Tesla came with some ideas. Yeah. And that's how this started. Right. I'm just trying to say that sometimes, right, purpose is revealed. Right. Or discovered as you go along. Yeah. But people are trapped waiting. Yeah. Yeah. My father gave me the best advice a father could give a son one time. He said, "Fei, never refuse an opportunity or a request to serve." And that's what I did. And as I was diligent, and I know I was diligent because my personality tends to that area in in serving, it opened doors and opened doors and opened doors and here I am today. A series of open doors and every time I wanted to move away from this path, I was not successful. Right. So is where I am spectacular? Right. It doesn't feel spectacular to me. Right. Somebody might look at they say, "Oh, it's not your fault. You have a church. There are so many people in your church." But then I see the guys who have 50,000 people every Sunday. That's right. Right. I see the ones who have 65,000 people. I see the million people. I see our auditorium. Some people come and look at it and be like, "Oh my god." And I'm like, "This place It's it's just but what I have learned is not to allow the what I wish tomorrow will be stop me from leaving today today particularly in terms of work ministry Mhm. Right? Because I have been in places and I postponed leaving on the basis of tomorrow. And by the time tomorrow came, I couldn't go back to those places.

(18:04)Why We Feel Stuck

Mhm. Right. I think it's because like some people are waiting on a sign. They're waiting for a prophecy. They're waiting for the perfect confirmation, a dream, and then they just feel like they're behind in life because they're not following. They haven't figured it out yet. And it's just keeping them stuck. Stuck in what? What? What does that mean? stuck. Well, they feel stuck. That's what I'm saying. Why? Why do you feel stuck? Because I You feel like I'm You're not working in purpose. Like, you haven't figured it out yet. You haven't figured out what the call of God is. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I I I I don't give people that much credit. You don't give people that much credit. Let me tell you what it is. Okay. They compare themselves with other people. And they say And they say, "I should be here, but I'm stuck here." Oh, if I found my purpose, I will be there. Yeah. It is. It is not. See, look at life. Life has a tendency to be mundane, repetitive. My wife was talking to my my my my first daughter, Dara, and I had her say to her that Sudara and her husband are gardening a lot, right? They work Monday to Friday, right? They walk work and they come home and they eat and sleep to go to work the next day. And then the weekends they garden. And my wife said, "This is adulting, isn't it?" And this is like an antilimax. Yeah. So people start to look for more. Yeah. The fun, the excitement. And and so if I find my purpose, I will find fulfillment because I have no fulfillment in going to work day in day out. Going to work day in day out. You won't find fulfillment in going to work day in day out because God never intended that is how humanity would live. Yeah, I think it's the intention was that we would live with him. I think it's more so like the mindset of like this just can't be my life. Like where I'm just going. It's because it's just like I feel like I'm made for more. Like I should be doing more. I should That's what that's the point, right? That's the point. Like they want to do more. What is the What is the purpose of that more? It's like the idea of like how we started this conversation. This idea of like this elaborate big elaborate. Yes. Elaborate, spectacular. Yes, that's it. So ordinariness can't be me. It can't it can't be of God. Let me tell you what it is. It's called delusions of grandeur. They they think being like having like a mundane ordinary life. It's not it's a problem. That's not what God wants me to do. Lived in a village. A village. If you lived in a village, okay, the people, there was a time, right, where people were born, lived and died in the same house. Yeah. In the same village. They never left. Right. But we now, right, we see, you're in Dallas and you're watching something happening in Tokyo. Yeah. But meanwhile, the only aspect of Tokyo you see are the very nice parts. Yeah. So, you're thinking to yourself, why am I stuck in this apartment? right in Frisco, right? What am I what am I doing? I'm driving a Toyota, right? But you have forgotten your your silly self that you were catching mware. Do they know what that is? Mware is is a very is a very it's a form of transportation that is not um patronized by the affluent. It's not nice. Right. That Toyota was a dream. But now the Toyota has become mundane and ordinary. M your Toyota when you press the button and your window will go off the when that was a dream cuz you were winding winding it and then the thing will get stopped and you now hold it. Oh God have mercy. My point is my point

(21:53)Living the Life Given

is your purpose God can say to you I made you to do this like David. Mhm. Right. Right. Not even David. Samson. Yeah. Samson before he was born. Yeah. Prophet God had spoken to his parents. This is what he's going to do. This is what he's going to do. This is why I made him to do this, to do this, to do this. Right. But how many Samsons were there in the Bible? How many people were born in scripture that God visited their mother and said, "This is what this child is going to do." Right? Sometimes, right, more often than not, that's not what happens. More often than not, that's not what happens. So, we're all chasing this thing, this conversation with God. And God is like, "Get on with the life I have given you. Live the life I have given you, right? The job that you have gotten, do it well. If there's more, I'll let you know. If there's nothing, that's it." That dissatisfaction goes many times nowhere. And when you get to a certain age, then you realize that you know what, I wasted so much of my life. Right. Wanting more when I should have enjoyed what I have. Does that mean is that where like I guess the prosperity gospel where people were like oh if you find your purpose then you'll be prosperous and then you will have money and then you can do what you want to do. And I found my purpose. I don't have money. I have money in Jesus. I have money in Jesus. But I don't I was just talking about uh how much credit card debt I have. You know it's like it's like you know Christians we are very interesting people somebody will come and give testimony my children went to college not one student loan praise the lord the reason why you didn't take student loan because you were using your money right your rent you used it your your mortgage moneyh you use it to pay college collect tuition right but the way you paid your mortgage age was by putting it on credit card. Hey, but you come and give testimony. So, somebody is sitting down there thinking if I find my purpose, my children will go to college without any uh any um um tuition, student loan. Yeah. Any debt? Yeah. I didn't testify about the credit card debt cuz I'm still paying it. Just interested. Life is is ordinary. Yeah. And every once in a while, we get a glimpse of the spectacular. Yeah. But if you keep chasing the spectacular, you will not live. M truth and time time is very merciless. Yeah. Time doesn't say, "Oh, you didn't get it. I'll give you the 5 years back." Nope. I think a lot of people also underestimate how long it took someone to be where they're at. They they're so, you know, that immediate gratification. They just see the end. Yeah. They just see the end like, "Oh, he oh, he's so lucky." Or like, "Oh, that was easy for you." You don't know my testimony. You don't know the testimony. Yeah. You don't know the journey for me to get there. Like it took me 10 years to get here. 10 years. Well, I'm just You wish. The point I'm trying to make is the point I'm trying to make, right, is this. Yeah. God has a purpose for your life. Mhm. But that purpose, right, is not always spectacular. And it is constant. It is constant. Every interaction, yeah, is an opportunity, right, to do the will of God, right? And and and the way you fulfill purpose is by living through that interaction the way God would want you to live through that interaction, right? Is by engaging in that interaction the way God would want you to engage in it. Right? When you do that, when your goal is how can I live out God's will. Yeah. That I know in every situation, if there's a different dimension to it, God will reveal it to you. But we are looking for the different dimension always. But the opportunities, right? It's almost like you know how they say if you are faithful in a little, you'll be given much. Yeah. Your little is that person you met going into work today. That's your little, right? The girl who served you uh uh breakfast, right? And was smiling at you and you couldn't even be bothered to look up at her and say, "Hi, thank you." That's your little, right? It's somebody asking you for $5, but you've got $1,000 in your pocket that you're about to go blow on a Chanel bag, right? That's your little. So, if you are not faithful with the little opportunities, right? The ordinary opportunities, the mundane opportunities, the repetitive opportunities, you just you're waiting for the spectacular and the elaborate, right? It's comedy. And the angels, they're laughing. Like, see these guys, you are looking for purpose. the one that they gave you two seconds ago, you fluffed it, right? So, so we we get trapped, right, on in everything with the desire for the spectacular because we think the spectacular is what makes us relevant. Yeah. We think the elaborate is what makes it important. Mhm. Right. If it's not elaborate, it's not important. If it's not spectacular, is not divine. Right. God was in the still small voice. It wasn't in the lightning. It wasn't in the thunder. Right. It was in the still small voice. The still small voice is so so so ordinary you can miss it as the voice of God. So you're looking for purpose. You are here. You're fulfilling purpose. Mhm. You're fulfilling purpose. There are folks who would love to be here but our producer said no. Thanks. You're fulfilling purpose, right? Yeah. you are you're going to go to work tomorrow, right? And you're going to meet somebody. You're going to interact with somebody. An email is going to come, right? And you're going to look at that email and you're going to have a choice. Do this project the way God will have you do it or halfass it the way you feel like halfassing it. That's not a cuss word, right? Half ass. Okay. Cuz my wife is the c word police. I'm not allowed to say jackass. Sorry, I I didn't say it. Wait. So, but you get my point. Well, we get your point, right? So, yeah. So, so this purpose thing has got Christians in in in a real tizzy. Yeah. You know, where where where where the beneficial look, we live in a country where you can worship without somebody stoning you. Right. You live in a country where you go to the office, chances are everybody in your team are Christians. And the ones who are not Christians, they could care less. They couldn't care less. There's some places where if you mention Christian, somebody's coming for you. I also think like what if you did hear your purpose, but you don't like it or like like you're supposed to do the mundane stuff. Hey, can you see can you see my problem? No, I just say I just see there's some people that there's some people like now they know they heard it. They like but God don't want to do that. Like I want to do this instead. But that's that's that is inherent inherent in that question, right? Yeah. Is is the is the sense again it it it reiterates my point. Why would you say you don't want to do that? Yeah. Nine times out of 10 it's not it's not elaborate. It's not spectacular. Nobody's ever going to know about it except you and God. You're not your name is not going to be in the stars, right? I want my name to be We all want to be the main characters, right? Yes. We want We want to go viral. Yeah. Well, I don't want to go viral. You know, there's a thing that said like, "Do you rather be just like rich and hidden or like famous and like not have you can be poor and needing as well?

(29:49)Wealth, Travel, and Comparison

You know, you know, poverty is a very interesting concept and wealth. M you know there's some people who have no money but feel very wealthy. Yeah. There people who have a lot of money and feel very poor. Yeah. If Russianly you took your paycheck Mhm. your whole paycheck to some parts of the world. Right. You would be materially very rich. Yeah. Right. But emotionally you'd be very poor. Mhm. Right. Because your friends are not there. The life the people you love are not there. Right. So you'll be able to afford all the comforts of life. Right. But you would feel an emptiness, right? Mhm. But you are here living a good life, right? With friends, family, just love all around you, right? And you are still asking for purpose. Show somebody some love. Spend that money on somebody else. You have enough Chanel bags, Roselyne. I actually don't own Chanel bags, you guys. So, I'm just going to let you know that right now. So, why do you feel the need to say that? So, somebody who wants to give a Chanel bag. Oh my god. I'm on land. But um No, I I think Well, like I think it's just because I I'll be honest. I think it is like I comparing myself to like I want to travel. I want to do this. Maybe when I'm in my purpose, then I can finally travel and do this or maybe I'm trying to figure out God is, you know, is traveling in my is there a way I can do that. Can I Is there a way I can do that? And then you'll still be in I'm glad you brought that up. I hate traveling. I love it. I hate I hate traveling. My wife loves traveling. I haven't left the United States of America since 2001. What? I can't I can't. So like I haven't left America since 2001. Okay. I have no interest in it. Wow. Right. And I'm just haven't had any reasons to live. Right. I've had one or two, but at the time I couldn't. Mhm. My voice is heard everywhere. This podcast, right? Mhm. this podcast which I was almost a nuisance right has taken my voice to places where I'm like my brother came back came was in Africa came back on Friday and he said to me that people were saying to him oh are you Femy's brother I follow him I'm like really I've had people literally say to me oh some girl was in Nigeria somebody was saying to her that oh there's this podcast I want you to listen to I like are you kidding me that's my pastor. I kid you not, that is happening a lot. Mhm. I have not been there since 2001. Mhm. But the voice is being heard there. Right. So some of the things that we think producer said like subscribe particularly if you live in Ghana, Liberia, Syria, Kenya. You know the point I'm trying to make is that you can in doing the things that God gives you to do you can travel without leaving where you are right you know without leaving where you are that's not what I want to leave let me tell let me tell let me tell you so so in your so in your mind you're thinking this my hunger for traveling traveling must be part of my purpose your voice can travel. You don't have to travel. That I'm trying I'm trying to say right that uh don't misunderstand me. There is a purpose to your life. Mhm. But I'm just saying that sometimes that purpose is not elaborate, is not spectacular, and you are living it out on a daily basis. Yeah. So you're getting opportunities to express it on a daily basis. Yeah. So then is there I guess then you know people would say like then why do I have this strong desire and these dreams and I keep thinking about it watching too much TV and you sit down in front of social media looking at the Ritz Scoutton um yacht uh cruise. That's very specific. Very specific cuz I was looking at it. I was looking at I was looking at you know how I am about about travel and boats and water. Mhm. Never never never never. Right. But then I'm looking at this great sc. I told my guys my 60th birthday and by the way, you're all invited. My 16th birthday, we're going to take a cruise on a Ritz Carlton. Yeah, we're going to do a Mediterranean cruise. But but this is now each person is 20K. Ah, and if you don't have money, you don't you are not coming. Ah, how many you know how much how long do we have to I'm telling you now, you have three years. Okay, cool. Three years. I think we can do that. I'm producing everybody else. That's why that's why you might be my best friend. But once we once we're sure you can you become my best friend. But but you know what I'm saying? So I'm I'm telling everybody, you know, I'm going to put on the invitation card. It cost 20K. There are no subsidies. The flight is 5K. Ah, so it's 25K. 25K. and and and we're all going first class. If you can't afford it, if you can't afford it is I won't be mad at you. Stay where you are. Amen. That's the purpose. I will start aspiring and passing. So, so you know, I'm just say that look

(35:34)Purpose in Every Interaction

every if I wait for Sunday to fulfill purpose, right? I'm only fulfilling one aspect of my purpose. A very small aspect of it. Everybody that I interact with before I get on the pulpit to preach, opportunities for purpose to be fulfilled. There's a reason why God put me with you. Mhm. How I deal with you is a reflection of God's will is part of God's will for my life. Right? You know what I'm saying? And what God wants from me in our interactions is that to the extent the Holy Spirit gives me ability and the extent that I'm yielded, right? You encounter some of the divine through me, that's my purpose, right? We were predestined to be conformed to the image of Christ and Jesus Christ is the express image of God. Mhm. Right. So if you interact with me and you see some of the divine right I have fulfilled purpose right it's not when I stand to preach or when I sit in this chair you know and um um answer questions that I fulfill purpose every time I encounter a human being I have an opportunity to fulfill purpose so I can fast for 40 days and 40 nights and I may not hear anything doesn't mean God has nothing for me doesn't mean God isn't using Right. It just means that there's no utility to telling me anything. And if he ever does tell you something, Mhm. your purpose is to go on a cruise and sing to the people on the cruise. That's awesome. But it will be a mistake for you to think that is your only purpose in life. To be going around to different cruises around. Yes. It'll be nice. Alas, it's just that one cruise. That one cruise. Mhm. Wow.

(37:27)Daily Moments of Purpose

Does this help you? It it does. You know, tying it back to, you know, just the my initial question or the initial statement from what we just spoke about, you know, purpose sounds like it sounds one. It sounds fluid, continuous, and something that we get the chance to live out daily. The daily is is is a is is um is an understatement. Moment by moment by moment, interaction by interaction. If you meet 25 people in a day, that's 25 opportunities to allow the divine to be seen through you. That's why you're here. Right. And now that's what purpose is, right? The reason for your creation. Mhm. What you are meant to do. Right. Right. Being a light to the world. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Being a light. Being a light to the world. Yeah. Yeah. on a Mediterranean cruise or or in a mulu wherever you find or in a you know in a mode of transportation not often patronized by the affluent but yeah yeah you guys you guys heard it purpose just daily moment by moment just yeah Christians are Christians are we do too much we overthinking it yeah don't overthink it we do too much sometimes and and it doesn't really serve us m It doesn't really serve God because everybody's looking for the spectacular and the elaborate, right? And it was a great sermon, right, when it was preached. But we have as a consequence minimized the importance of the ordinary and the mundane. How you handle your children is purpose. It's purpose cuz they're going to impact others as well. Yep. Yeah. They may not. They may. They may or they may not. They may just leave a good life indecent people. But they're still going out to impact people cuz you have to deal with people, right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But when you said impact people, you meant in an elaborate spectacular way. I was I did not be doctors, they would be lawyers or they may be brick layers. Wait, you said yes. Someone's got to build the houses too. Exactly. Is the person brickling less than the doctor? No. They make less than a doctor. Exactly. You know, they don't want they want the money. But the Bible says a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his money. So yeah, there you have it. Your purpose. Purpose can be as elaborate as or it can be simple as well. Just just know live it out daily, moment by moment. But yeah. Yeah. Like, comment, subscribe.
